Fading Frontier è il settimo album in studio dei Deerhunter, è stato scritto e registrato a Atlanta, città natale della band, e prodotto dalla band insieme a Ben H. Allen, proseguendo la collaborazione nata nel 2010 con Halcyon Digest. Fading Frontier vede anche il contributo di James Cargill dei Broadcast e Tim Gane degli Stereolab.
