RADAR Concerti presenta i DAUGHTERS. La band statunitense arriva per la prima volta in Italia per presentare dal vivo l’ultimo album You Won't Get What You Want, uscito il 26 ottobre 2018 per la celebre Ipecac Recordings di Mike Patton. Appuntamento al Locomotiv Club di Bologna il 18 ottobre.
Con il loro quarto album You Won't Get What You Want, i DAUGHTERS hanno mandato un messaggio forte e chiaro. Il quartetto ha seguito ancora una volta il compasso che l’ha portato a sfocare i confini del noise rock. “I've always felt we decide what a Daughters record is,” dice Alexis, il cantante: “it's not a sound or an aesthetic. Daughters is the name of our group and, we will do whatever we want to do with it. If that's a jazz record or an opera, then that's the decision we've made. With that, this feels like the natural progression of things musically”. Un disco capace di cavalcare la stessa onda, fragorosa e violenta, dei precedenti, dettata da un’urgenza lirica lontanissima da logiche discografiche o compiacimenti per la critica. I brani trasudano angoscia, nichilismo e lucidità, con versi spesso reiterati impressi nell’hardcore più oscuro e rabbioso.
"You Won't Get What You Want is the perfect return for Daughters. While aspects of the band's creative vision have been altered and their sound has further evolved, the core elements remain intact. The asphyxiating sound has been augmented with the inclusion of longer, heavier sludge influenced moments. The tension the band build is further explored through different means.” (PopMatters)
